2017 FAVORITES - SKINCARE
Hello all!!
I don't want to post on the same topic continuously. There will be more one brand skincare coming up but I wanted to include my 2017 favorites - skincare & makeup before its too late. Today it is going to be skincare.
Generally with skincare, it is better to stick with one brand but since I love to try new products, adding to that being a blogger I will have to try brands to give you my opinion on that. Hence I have products from different brands. You should stick on to the brand or products that suits you more than the brand you like. These are the products that work great to my oily acne prone skin. Let's start
1. Cleanser/Face wash
*The Body Shop tea tree facial cleanser - It is a very mild yet effective cleanser for people who have regular acne trouble. It is a huge bottle and I have still not completed it even after using it very regularly for 6 months now. The consistency is more on the liquid side and it has a pleasant tea tree fragrance and not like those medicated ones. It cleans your face pretty well and doesn't dry out the skin. I will definitely repurchase this once it is over :)
*The Face shop herb day 365 cleansing foam lemon - This is a very recent pick. I had bought a few products from the brand and as a compliment I got a vanity pouch with this face wash. I was very excited to see such a huge tube of face wash as a compliment. I have been loving this from the very first use. The consistency is creamy and has a fresh lemon fragrance. It not only cleans your face well but also brightens and tightens the skin. It is a tiny bit on the drying side due to its tightening property. Hence I would highly recommend this to people with super oily skin like mine.
2. Toner
*Juicy Chemistry rose water - I have talked a lot about this product. I am currently on my 4th bottle and that explains how excellent the product is. I use this post face wash and also during the day when my skin feels dull. I also like to mix it with my face pack to give that soothing feeling. The mist is fine and absorbs quickly and leaves your skin fresh. It has a very beautiful rose fragrance. They have other variants also but I prefer this.
3. Moisturizer
*Juicy Chemistry argan & rose day serum - This has been my go to moisturizer for the day time for more than a year now. Although I have oily skin, this feels super light on my skin. It comes with a dropper. I essentially use 2 drops of it and pat it on my skin. It feels very nourishing on the skin. It has natural spf, natural color and fragrance. I totally totally love this serum.
4. Face scrub - I currently don't have any favorites :(
5. Face pack
*Kama ayurveda nirmah anti acne face pack - This has become my holy grail face pack for acne trouble. After the first use itself, it shrinks and dries up the red angry pimple and eventually completely fades away the redness. It is safe to use every single day. It also comes with a small wooden spoon for hygiene purpose. It smells divine of red sandalwood and other goodness stuffed ingredients. Post wash your skin feels more bright because of the presence of sandalwood.
6. Night serum
* Juicy chemistry acne control serum - This is again one of my most loved product of all times. Since my skin can easily break out, I always have a backup of this in my vanity. This again comes with a dropper and the serum has an yellow tinge to it. Even though the serum gets absorbed within seconds, it is best to apply it at night after your cleansing and toning routine. With regular use it not only takes care of the redness but also makes sure the pimple doesn't leave a mark behind.
